We recently completed a beautiful runner for Nicola Le Rougetel, a weaver and textile designer with an exacting eye for colour. She loom weaves textiles and creates bespoke work for designers such as Linley. When she bought her Victorian house and decided to undertake its renovation herself, she struggled to find the perfect stair carpet.
Initially she considered weaving the runner but she wanted a very specific palette, and couldn’t hand dye the exact tones in large enough wool quantities. We worked with her to create exactly what she was looking for; the pattern was classic but the colour needed to be show-stopping. She dyed swatches of yarn, experimenting with variations, and once she had the perfect tone, she bought it to us to match exactly. We worked with our weaving mill and dye masters to get the perfect colour and saturation, creating a vivid pink 100% wool runner that hums with depth and vibrancy, as Nicola says “It’s a perfect match’.
